Example of opening 2 orders and leaving one runner

Hi i was wondering if we have an example of how to submit 2 orders for example in strategy and leave one as a runner?

I created two different uniq orders and marked ordersperdireciton to 2 and sometimes I get one order hanging... I think its an issue with quanity. I was looking for a good example

What you described would be the way to submit more than one order.

You mentioned leave one runner but then you mentioned one order is hanging, is that not the result you specifically asked for? If you leave an order running it will continue to be working until filled.

HI, no when I run market replay all works fine, strategy opens 2 unique orders and closes them according to the rules. BUt yesterday I put it live and it opened 2 orders closed 1 and left one order hanging without any stoploss or take profit...

Without more specific details I would not be able to say why that may have happened.

To have targets for each entry you would need to use unique signal names so you have unique targets for each entry.

There is not a specific sample that I can suggest that shows entering multiple orders and leaving one running, you can see the documentation for EntriesPerDirection and EntryHandling which give general guidelines on how to place orders in the same direction.

HI it happened again in live market, and it doesnt happen in market replay.
I attach trace and log portion where it opened 2 sell orders at 11:04

I have two limit orders, one hits and when first limit order hits, second order moves to break even. For some reason if i remember when order moves to breakeven it held 2 orders instead of one.


I was wondering if you have a minute to see if there is anything that jumps at you for the error?
