How to plot executed trades?

When a strategy is plotted, it starts with plotting calculated trades (not real time), and then reverts to plotting real time trades.

I wish to see the historically executed real time trades plotted when the strategy is plotted.

How would I do that?

Thank you for your post.

Historical execution markers will remain on the chart even after the strategy as started processing in real time, as long as you have Plot executions turned on from the Data Series window on the chart.

Could you explain further what you are looking for? I'm not sure what "historically executed real time trades" meant, this is a bit of an oxymoron as historical executions =/= real time trades.

Yes, I have Data Series -> Trades -> Plot Executions set to Text and marker.

What I mean is if I ran the strategy yesterday in real time and had transactions executed, and closed NT, I want to see those executions when I reopen NT today.

It seems that NT plots what the strategy calculates yesterday's transactions vs. plotting the actual executed transactions of yesterday..

Thank you for your response.

Once the strategy is disabled (which would be caused by closing NinjaTrader), any trades placed by the strategy will no longer show on the chart, unfortunately.

However, you may find any real-time trades placed by the strategy either in the Strategy Performance window or the Executions tab. The Strategies tab will let you know the instrument and data series you were running the strategy on, however, if you have more than one chart of the same data series and time frame, it will not specify which of the two charts the strategy was running on.

That's disappointing as it would help tremendously in debugging the strategy's behavior.

Could you submit this as a desired feature?

TradeStation does this already.
