Restarting Strategy after Connection got lost

Dear Ninjatrader-Team,
when the connection between Ninatrader and TWS gets lost and I manually exit a trade, then Ninjatrader still thinks I have one position open and will not restart the strategy as this requires flat status. How can I fix this?

Hello Stefan,

The account position not matching the strategy position wouldn't prevent a strategy from being re-enabled, it would just be out of sync, however if there were working orders submitted by the strategy, the strategy may try and cancel these. If the orders cannot be cancelled the strategy cannot start and it is necessary to remove the configured instance and add a new instance.
The Log tab of the Control Center should provide information about this if this is occurring.

Hello StefanA,

Right-click the chart and select Strategies. In the Configured find the configured strategy instance and click remove. From the available select the strategy name and click add to add a new instance of the strategy.

Did all that, but same result. Ninjatrader still shows 1Long, although position was closed manually. Strategy shows status yellow, not green.

This means the strategy was re-enabled successfully and is using the Wait until flat start behavior.

The yellow strategy name means the strategy is running and has a historical position open that is waiting to be closed.
