How to lock out trader from submitting orders via code

is it possible to use NT API to lock out a trader from submitting further orders until the next day or at a certain time?

I have been able to lock the user from submitting orders when certain conditions are met, but when NT is restarted the trader can continue to trade.

Any code examples or pointers in the right direction would help.

That would not be possible and we also can't make any suggestions on how to prevent a user from doing actions that the platform offers. Per the platforms design the user should always be able to manage their account without any third party item blocking their way, that could lead to the user being unable to manage their account in a critical situation.

You can turn on account level loss limits which prevent you from trading if you hit a certain loss amount. If you use a NinjaTrader account that is found on the page https://account.ninjatrader.com/settings/accounts
