Simple strategy that buys from an indicator

Hi, I'm trying to make a simple strategy that buys and sells when an indicator I have puts up a down or up arrow on the chart. Does anyone know how I could do this? If anyone can point me in the right direction with sources to learn from I'd really appreciate that

Hello Error336070,

You can use the strategy builder for that type of task. The indicator needs to produce a Plot which has a value, if your indicator is just drawing arrows that likely won't be able to be used as signals in a strategy. You could modify the indicator to plot a specific value, for example 0 for no signal, -1 for sell or 1 for buy.
