could not compile

hi hello when im working a strategy on builder and hit the compile button shows a message " could not compile ninjascript "
That only happens when l add an external indicator on the strategy. If l did the strategy without this indicator I can compile well. Can anyone help me?

That may be how you are trying to use the indicator, can you provide a screenshot of what you tried?

Does that happen with any of the standard indicators that come with NinjaTrader or only with this one custom item? If you have other imported items have you checked if those work? That would be to confirm that the problem relates to that specific indicator.

In that case it is likely due to how that indicator is coded. is that an indicator that you made or something you had imported?

hi Jesse, l bought it , doesnt work in strategy builder, i remember last year works and i dont know why not now. l tried to do an alert with this indicator and works. it is only at strategy builder

Hello canarydaytrading,

In that case you would need to contact the creator of that item to let them know it is not working with the strategy builder. That indicator may be able to be used in manual coding still however without being able to use the builder to generate the code for the indicator I couldn't say what may need to change with how the indicator is being used. It is likely programmed to have a user input type that the builder does not support so it cannot generate the valid code to call the indicator.
