Run strategy analyzer with more than 3 yrs of historical tick data.
Per my understanding, NT only have 1yr of historical data. That means strategy analyzer can only run backtest for the last 12 months. Two questions: (1) if I have 5yrs of data manually imported into NT locally, will strategy analyzer use that data to run backtest for as far back as my data allows? (2) which data provider provides more than 2yr of historical data compatible with NT?Tags: None

Hello affilife,
Thanks for your post.
Only up to 1 year of historical tick data can be downloaded from the NinjaTrader servers.
To backtest a strategy in the Strategy Analyzer further back, you would need to find a third-party data provider that offers historical tick data for the range of time you want to backtest over.
To import historical tick data, go to Tools > Import > Historical Data.
We do not have a recommendation for third-party providers that offer more than 2 years of historical tick data. You would need to do some research to find a third-party provider that offers this amount of historical data.
You may consider browsing the NinjaTrader Ecosystem for a possible solution.
NinjaTrader supports multiple market data providers delivering access to futures, forex and stock data along with free EOD data through Kinetick.
This forum thread will be open for other community members to share their insights on third-party providers you could consider.Brandon H.NinjaTrader Customer Service

Hello affilife,
Thanks for your notes.
First, you would need to find a third-party data provider that offers 5 years of historical tick data.
The historical data could then be imported by going to Tool > Import > Historical Data.
Importing Historical Data: https://ninjatrader.com/support/help.../importing.htm
After importing the historical data, you could backtest a NinjaScript strategy over the time period of historical data you have on your platform.
