Plots plotted from Strategy not showing

I have a strategy from which I'm trying to plot a moving average. The line is not appearing. I know the values are being set correctly, because I color the price bars according the their relation to the moving average. See image, bars change color when above or below moving average.

Relevant code:

Are there any conditions before the 'TrendMA[0] = EMA(TrendMAPeriod)[0];' line that would prevent it from being executed if false?

Additionally, since you are setting the plot to the value of the EMA, you could also call AddChartIndicator() instead to have the indicator display on the chart. You could still pass in TrendMAPeriod to the EMA using AddChartIndicator().
