remove and re add strategy after editing?

do i need to remove the strategy from the control panel strategies window and re add it after i edit?

Yes, after editing a strategy you should first Compile it to save the changes. Next, you need to remove and re-add the strategy to pick up any changes that were made to the strategy. Then, the changes will take effect.

The reasons behind this have to do with the NinjaScript Lifecycle and OnStateChange(). If you would like to read into this more, please see the links below:

Hi NinjaTrader_Emily,

When working in Market Replay, as along I don't change the NinjaScript Properties (either the Properties themselves or their defaults), just doing a NinjaScript Reload (F5) is sufficient to load the update to the code (after saving/compiling). I do not need to remove and re-add the strategy.

Reload NinjaScript is an option on charts, however Steve asked specifically about the "control panel strategies window" which does not have the option to reload NinjaScript:

To reload a script on the Strategies tab, it must be removed and re-added.
