crossover in twenty bars don't trade

i'm trying to having in my strategy if crossover within 20 bars don't enter. is there a method for this?

You can use the CrossAbove or CrossBelow conditions for that purpose. Instead of using a 1 lookback period in the cross method you can use 20 to check if a cross happened in the last 20 bars.

thanks for the reply. sweet. i know how to use the look back as its kinda like bars ago. but, how does that play out. i'd have an sma 3 crossover sma 8 with a look back of twenty. but do i put a less than sign somewhere with what to say so i don't want to enter long if that crossover is closer than 21 bars ago? or, crossover needs to be 21 bars or greater.

Hello SteveReiza,

You would need to use a variable if you don't want to take a trade, you could set a bool to false as an example and then check if the bool is true in your entry condition.
