Multi Day Strategy After Resetting VPS

Hello,

I am currently running a variety of automated systems. I have about 22 bots normally running that are not holding anything through the close which is when I always reset my vps and ninjatrader for performance reasons. I am currently working on a new automated system I created that will be able to hold as long as possible until my conditions are met for ZN futures.

I know there is a way to restart a strategy and adopt position but I currently do not have my code situated for this based off how I had someone build it 18 months ago. So I know this is something I will need to address. Is there any specific things I need to consider to make sure I add to avoid any issues with running this type of code when I have to reset my vps daily?

Hello durdcash,

When you start a strategy its start behavior is run, if your logic is not able to process the exact same trades as historical trades the strategy wont be able to resume open orders or positions. You will need to take a look at the logic and make sure that when you disable it with open orders or positions that it can re enable and re calculate the same trades as historical.
