Strategy exit on session close seconds does not effect the actual time of exit

Hi,
I want my strategy to exit 900 second before the close and tried to use the strategy properties for this. However, the start alway exits 2 secs before the close, no matter what second value I enter in the properties. Why is that?

Thank you for your note.

The ExitOnSessionCloseSeconds property is a real-time only property. It does not have an effect on the time for ExitOnSessionClose in the Strategy Analyzer or when processing historical data. This is noted in the help guide here:

If you were to test your strategy in real-time or on the Playback Connection, you should see the proper ExitOnSessionClose seconds in place:

Otherwise, you could consider using a time filter to limit trading hours in your strategy as an alternative to exit on session close. We have a reference sample demonstrating the use of a time filter here:
