Auto chase help!

Hello I’m having trouble understanding how to create a strategy. It’s simple I just don’t understand how to do it I keep messing it up! Lol

here’s what I want to do in as little words as possible.

1 stop loss, 2 take profits, 2 contracts,

1st take profit = close 1 contract, that’s all

2nd take profit = once price hits the 2nd target I want a mit order to chase 2 ticks behind current price. That’s it that’s all, thanks for the help!

Most of what you want to do can be done with the default targets in the stops and targets page. Making a trail happen only after a first target is hit would be more difficult and would require using sets to manually control the target orders instead of using the stops and targets page. If you are using the stops and targets page you can link targets to a part of the overall position by using the entries signal names as the targets from entry signal. If you don't specify a signal name for a target it will target the whole position.

I would suggest looking at the trail example in the following post, that shows how to manually control orders using logic from sets. That type of logic is what would be required to start trailing only after a first target was hit. You would need to control both targets manually in the sets in order to do that so you can control the variables to have the second order trail.
