Bollinger Bands distance in Ticks

Hello

I am creating a strategy in the Strategy Builder and I need to be able to calculate the distance in ticks between the Bollinger bands.
the idea is to not trade when the middle band is 4 ticks from any of the other bands. how could I do this?

Hello Mathias,

The Strategy Builder is not designed for math. Any math would have to be done with the offset of a custom series.
Further, the TickSize property is not available in the Strategy Builder.

This would likely need to be an unlocked script coded by hand.

Print( (Bollinger(2, 14).Upper[0] - Bollinger(2, 14).Lower[0]) / TickSize );

You may also want to consider taking the difference of the Upper and Lower and rounding this to the nearest Tick before dividing by the TickSize.
