Reloading strategies after updating code

After making changes to a strategies code and compiling it do I need to completely remove any active iterations of it and add it again or will restarting Ninja Trader update all of the active versions of it?

After compiling, right-click the chart and select Reload NinjaScript. This will reload the script and run the modified code.

If you have made changes to State.SetDefaults, it will be necessary to remove the script instance from the chart and add a new instance to pull the new defaults.

Will restarting Ninja trader update the new defaults?

For a script saved in a workspace, no restarting NinjaTrader will not pull the new defaults.

The defaults are only pulled when adding a new instance of the script.
