    Account question

    Is it possible to set the account name to a user input string in order to use one strategy template instead of having to code/copy multiple strategy templates for different accounts?: For example:

    lock (Account.All)
    myAccount = Account.All.FirstOrDefault(a => a.Name == AccountName);

    I've tried this but it only grabs data from the AccountName string set up in State.Defaults instead of switching to the user input value. Is there another method to achieve my aim?

    thanks,
    David

    Hello David,

    Thank you for your inquiry.

    You mentioned that the reason you are looking to do this is "in order to use one strategy template instead of having to code/copy multiple strategy templates for different accounts" though I am not sure what you mean by coding or copying multiple strategy templates for different accounts. If there is a user input for the account name, how does this reduce the number of templates created?

    The account that is configured in the Strategy can be accessed via the Account object, such as Account.Name:

    Please let me know if I may be of further assistance.
