Does NT8 support VPS Hosting ?

Evaluating this platform for Automated Strategies support.
Is VPS hosting of ninjascript (NT8) available?
if so what are setup procedures.

Here's where the word 'support' needs to be defined.

If you mean 'help you do something', then of course a
VPS system is 'not supported' -- setting up a VPS and
choosing to install NinjaTrader is up to you, they will not
help you with the VPS parts, so from that definition, it
is very much 'not supported'.

If you mean 'is it possible' -- of course, it is possible.

I mean, this is strictly up to you.

The point is, Windows is Windows, whether it's on your
desktop or laptop, or a VPS -- so, of course, it is possible.

AFAIK, NinjaTrader does not actively try to prevent their
software from running on a virtual machine -- many people
are already doing this and have been for a very long time.

Works great.

But, as far as NT Support helping you and supporting you
to set it up -- they only support the setup and operation of
the NinjaTrader software portion, they will not help you with
any underlying VPS issues -- ask your VPS provider for help
if you need it.

Having said that...
They've been known to offer limited guidance for Mac users
who first have to install virtual machine software on their Mac,
but a VPS (which are usually subscription based services from
some other company over the internet) is entirely up to you.

NinjaTrader does not operate a VPS subsidiary, despite what
these guys would have you think.

Yes it is possible to run NinjaTrader on a VPS and have NinjaScripts run on that NinjaTrader platfom.

In the Support Department at NinjaTrader we cannot assist with setting up a VPS environment on your machine. It would be up to you to set up your VPS as bltdavid noted.

If you have any questions regarding setting up a VPS you should contact the VPS provider directly so they may assist you on the matter.
