Strategy config with Volumetric under Control center

Hi,

In control center under Strategic tap I tried to created a new strategy with Volumetric type.

I want to configure Bar period as Range. But only Min type is working.

If I add the strategy on a Chart and enable it then its working for Range period.


why I am not able to select Range for Volumetric under strategies tab of ControlCenter?

You would need to make sure that you have identical settings used in the control center as the chart. If that is not working you will need to add prints into your script to see what difference is happening and why the strategy is not working in that specific use case.

Thanks for your response. Its not about strategy working. Its mainly about adding a strategy under stragey tab under Control center.

You can try below steps to reproduce the issue.

1. Open control center
2. Select strategies tab
3. Right click and select "New Startegy"
4. Select an instrument
5. Select type as Volumetric
6. period type as Range instead on Minute
7. Apply ok.


If you check the strategy it automatically changes back to Minute from Range interval.
Thats what the issue I am experiencing.

I tried that and see it working with the SampleMACrossOver. To know why your custom strategy is not working in that use case you can add prints to verify your conditions are becoming true or not.

Please make sure you are configuring the instance the same that you have in the chart including the amount of data being loaded. When you enable the strategy with volumetric it will take additional time to load, the strategy will be loaded when it is listed as Green or Yellow in the control center. If it is not a colored name that means it is still loading.

I tried with Simple MA Crossover as well. Its automatically going back to Minute even though I selected Range for volumetric.

My Ninja version is 8.0.28.0 64-bit .
the settings I left as default only. Do you see anything wrong in the screenshot?

Hello greenhollow803,

When you change the strategy it will change the settings that you selected if you have a default, you just need to re select the settings you want to use for that strategy and then apply it.

If you continue to see problems I would suggest updating to the current release and then testing in that release.
