last position type and total limit order

Hi,
i developing a strategy that enter with alternative limit order (buy, sell,buy, sell ecc.), in a specific price.
so, i need to know how to get the:

1. last market Position type (buy/sell), in particulary the last insert position: for exemple if the order touch the price the strategy insert one sell order, so in this moment i need to know the last type of trade (in this case sell) to insert an opposite (buy) order limit.
i try with this code but it's not working

Position lastPosition = Position[total_position-1];
if(lastPosition.MarketPosition == MarketPosition.Long){

2. also, i need to know the number of total limit / pending order, because if total_limit_order = 0 i need add a order limit to have ever one limit order at the market.

The last completed trade will be in the SystemPerformance collection. You can check if the trade.Entry.Order.OrderAction was OrderAction.Buy, OrderAction.SellShort, etc.

There is not a collection of active orders, but each order will update OnOrderUpdate() where you can save that order object to a variable or List<Order> collection.

but, i read that the trade.X contains only close trade, i need to access the last that is still open

Hello itsmattiia,

A Trade object contains both an entry and exit. If there is no exit, it is not yet a trade.

If you are looking for orders that make up an open position, see my suggestion in post # 4.
