Hi there, how do I programmatically get to the instrument and it's type?
Say I'm running a strategy on the ES 12-23 Five minute. I want to get to these two values programmatically. How?

You can access the instrument and its property by using the Instrument property: https://ninjatrader.com/support/help...instrument.htm
To get the bar type information you can use the Bars property: https://ninjatrader.com/support/help...hlightsub=bars
