Delay in stop and target points

Usually when my strategy is triggered the stop and target marks come up as soon as I enter a trade. Today I noticed that 2 different strategies were triggered at the same time but when both were entered into the trade the stop and target marks took a while for it to come up. My target was reached, but since the marks were not there it stayed in the trade until I manually closed it out. What could cause this? How do I fix it?

I'm using strategy builder, the strategy is to sell.

This used to work fine, today is the first time I've seen this happen. Luckily I was watching it when it entered the trade so I could close it manually, otherwise I would've been in the trade too long or longer than I wanted.

Hello,

With the Strategy Builder, you can use Set stop loss / Set profit target with a number of ticks or percent and these would be submitted when the entry order fills.

Using exit orders in the conditions and actions would be delayed as the position needs to update and then these orders could be submitted on the next bar update.

I've seen the brackets come up as soon as my strategy entered the trade. Are you saying the brackets won't come up until the next bar after entering the trade?

That depends on how the orders are being submitted. If these are from Stops & Targets page, these would be immediate when the entry order fills. If the orders are submitted from the Conditions and actions they would be delayed until the next bar update after the entry fills and the position changes.
