I wish there is a trend indicator?

I'm struggling with trends, sideways that is. Is there a ready made indicator in NT to avoid trading in sideways trends? or 3rd party?

I am not personally aware of an item like that but you can search on the public user app share to see if something has been created. If any users know of a specific item that detects that they will comment as well.

If you want my advice, forget about finding the 'right' indicator to differentiate between a trend and a range. I wasted years on this issue, writing my own indicators and testing others. Only you can spot it with your eyes, but it takes a lot of screen time. Your eyes are the best indicator.

On the ecosystem you can find the SuperTrend (AuSuperTrend is the one that I like) or Trend Magic, there are various versions of this, I like the free download from NinzaRenko and you could combine that with a longer moving average like 70-100.
ADX indicators are worth looking into also IMO. Best ADX I've seen is on the Tradeovate chart though. It's a three line indicator where one line is bullish, second line bearish and a third reference line. Not sure if it's been converted to NT8 though.

Yes, there is a trend trading indicator for Nija Trader..The Wiseman Allegator..it's a cool trend trading indicator..personally I also use it even in not too trendy days...it's cool, hey, even moving avaerages can be used for trend trading..but the allegator is quite useful if you ask me
