using two instrument in strategy builder and backtesting

hello,
let say I want to build in strategy builder a strategy that when GC current bar is greater then bar[3] on the 60 minute chart it will take long position on CL.
how do I do this?
how I can use strategy analyzer to test two instrument on the same time and get useable results?

Hello gjb1234,

If you want to use the builder you need to use the primary or chart instrument as the instrument you want to trade (CL) with and then add the other instrument (GC) as the secondary data series . Once you do that you can select that secondary data in your conditions. Your conditions are executed based on the primary series bar update events.

another small thing, if im testing the strategy with the strategy analyzer I should just run it on the primary instrument and the time frame I want(CL on 60 minutes in that case) and the analyzer will automatically use the the secondary instrument with the time frame I chose( GC on 60 minute)?

Yes that is correct. You define the secondary instrument in your strategy. That instrument can be used for price conditions.
