Going live with Ninja Strategy

Hello programmers,

I am having questions about the NinjaScript manual handling.

1. If I had added my script at different charts, I had set the individuel parameters, I changed from SIM account to real account, I had activated each strategy per click: then everything works.

In case of closing the markets with the NinjaTrader options in the evening, then I have to start each script manually again the next day. If this means for example in the night, then I have to wait until activating time. Or if I am busy then, I only can start later the scripts.

Is there a trick, so that I can let the system activate all the scripts at a defined time?

2. What is with another problem: in case of programming a new version of the script: I have to do all steps again and this for each instrument. Is there a simple trick to have not to do all steps again and again?

3. In case of a blue screen for example: do I have to restart computer and NinjaTrader and open Connection and to check and to activate again everything manual or exists there helping programms or scripts or services to bring the system back in a stable working situation? I am using WIN 10 this time at home - no VPS or dedicated server.

Thanks for your post.

Custom NinjaScript strategies must be manually enabled from the charts or from the Strategies tab of the Control Center. Each individual strategy must be manually enabled and there are no options for automatically enabling NinjaScript strategies at a certain time.

You could consider trying to save a strategy template so that you could load the template next time you add the strategy to a chart or to the Strategies tab of the Control Center.

For a NinjaScript strategy to work correctly, you will need to ensure that your PC is on and connected to the internet, NinjaTrader would need to be open and connected to the data feed connection, and the strategy would need to be enabled.

If you are referring to your PC going to sleep, you could prevent that by changing your Windows Power Saving settings. Please do a quick Google search for something like 'Keep Windows 10 PC from going to sleep' to find instructions on how to modify your PC settings so the PC does not go to sleep.

That said, if your PC did go to sleep, you would need to wake up the PC, ensure you are connected to the internet, check that NinjaTrader is open and connected to the data feed connection, and enable the strategy if it happens to have disabled.

Note that we recommend that you always monitor the NinjaScript strategy on your PC when you have a custom strategy enabled and running in case anything unexpected were to occur such as an error message.
