Multiple Strategies

Good Day.

I'm not sure where to find a help topic on this issue. but its likely already been asked before me.

When Viewing the Control Center Strategy Tab.
We get the option to Copy and Paste,

a Strategy, that is already on the list.
it copies as the same instrument.
but .... It is not bound to a chart, or connected to a chart that can be viewed. like the original may be. even more say have 3 or 4 copies now on the list... there would be no chart connected to any of them.
So that part ^ up there is all good.

So,
if say we have 2 copies of the same strategy running, on the same instrument, with both strategies having identical settings...
Then these two Strategies
would function as one, just doubling the number of contracts being traded at the same time.... ???

Does That Sound Correct to everyone ?


it seems how it is working anyway, when I simulate this in Forward Testing on the Charts.

If two strategies are running on the same instrument and are using the same data and have the same logic, I would expect these to submit the same orders.

Yes, I would expect a doubling of the orders.

What You Say , its what I am seeing too, I realize that was kinda, a basic Question. but just wanted to make sure. there wasn't something Simple, I didn't know about with the NT8 Platform & Strategies Running.

What that helps me to do, if on a moment's notice, more then one contract, can be ordered.
And not have any Programing Changes needed to the Strategy Builder or the strategy Running.
Also not needed to stop a strategy to change the number of contracts being traded.

and the reason i like that.
Its a bit of an inconvenience to have the strategy Past Trade Data, disappear,
just because I stopped it from Trading. to change the Target by 5$ for example.
