atm question

Hi,
Has anyone developed an add on or is there a technique to set an atm strategy whereby you can place orders at multiple prices instead of all at one price? For instance, if a price is touched, the atm strategy places several orders below that price at x tick intervals?

Hello David,

Through a NinjaScript Strategy or through the addon approach it would already be possible to submit multiple orders at different prices.

From a strategy the EntriesPerDirection would be set to the number of entries you would like to allow, then you can place multiple entries by calling the entry order method multiple times.


If you are specifically talking about having multiple targets from an Atm template, that would be possible and would be setup manually in the Atm template.

Hi Chelsea,
I would want to set my trigger price manually on the chart, so I'm guessing an add-on is going to be the way to go. Is there a repository where i might look for modifiable code? Is the NT atm code visible anywhere?

Hi again,
Is there a script example anywhere of how i might place a stop order manually via the drop down menu, and have an enabled add-on script respond to that? Is it as simple as replacing one of the monitors with something like if: stop order buy is active....if: stop order buy is accepted...?

Hello David,

Adding menuItems to the right-click Context menu would be something that is not documented and not officially supported by NinjaTrader to do, so I do not have an example of this in an indicator.

I can provide a drawing tool that actually has unsupported code in it that adds to the context menu you may find helpful.

Hi Chelsea,
I probably didn't describe this clearly. Can i have the script respond to a stop order i've placed manually, as opposed to writing the condition in the script, and then once touched, place limit orders below that price (in a long scenario), for example.

For a horizontal line use the <HorizontalLine>.StartAnchor.Price.

For a line segment at a diagonal, you'll need to calculate the y-intercept of the line between the anchor points to do so.
