Trades Being Closed during Market Closed Hour. In PlayBack Data Mode

Hello
During "Forward Testing" with "Playback Historical Data"
I have trades being Closed, when they should not be closed. and are between the 4pm and 5pm Market Closed Hour.
Any Way, I can Stop this?
It interferes with any attempt to Swing Trade.

From your image it shows the exit name was profit target, you would likely need to increase or decrease your profit target offset if that is being filled at that time and you had expected it to fill earlier or not fill.

Hello Jesse,
if you will look a little closer to those attachments, if they are clear enough for You.
You can See the Trades circled in Yellow, were closed during Market Close Hours between 4-5PM.
That don't have anything to do with any of my Stops...and my Strategy can't close a trade, at that time of day.
I even tried to add a Time Filter to the strategy, to not trade from 3.55pm to 5.05pm.
and that didn't stop the trades from being closed either.
So... Do You have any other Suggestions ?
This kind of thing , makes Swing Trading impossible to even Forward Testing, with a Strategy running..

My reply was based on the circled trades, if you look at the exit name its your profit targets exiting the position. The profit target was hit at those times and exited the trade. If you don't want it to exit at those times you need to change your profit targets.

To prevent any other trades from being placed during those times would require that you make a time condition for your entry so that no entries are placed after a certain time period. That still won't account for any trades that were opened during the valid time and your target fills later to close the trade. If you have a trade open with a profit target that could be closed at any point when the market reaches your price.

it is possible, i miss something or somehow, i write this in the first place...
But you don't seem to be getting the issue here.
The Charts or Historical Data. is Closing my Trades. when the Markets, should be closed, themselves.
and if you will see where those trades are plotted at. they are Clear off the price action Bars.
There is no way my Strategy can close a trade that way.
The NT8 Software is Doing it. and it is a mistake, and shouldn't be happening.

Seems I was Actually told one time from NT
That if I would Get off of the Demo Account. that it would stop happening.

so it seems they know something. that i am just try to learn about.

Trades should not be closed, automatically, between the 4-5pm Hour??
see the time stamps , i provided.

my goal is mutli day swing trades.
but for Demo, i am having to settle for Session only Swing Trade. to Keep the Trade Reports more accurate.

The trades you circled are within market hours, the MES closes at 5pm. Based on the details in the grid the profit targets were hit at those times and exited the position.

As an additional note trades can be held after hours and can fill after-hours. If you want the target to stay open till the next session or for the target to fill before a certain time you need to use extra logic to do those tasks.

I guess then lets at least try to clear up this part for me, last for me to understand.
why are those trades shown in Attachment. the target price, that was hit. so far away from the Price Action Candles on the Chart?
then why is those charts not keeping up with that market price movement . showing on the chart I see ? i download all days of Historical Data even all Saturdays.

If what your saying is true, I would be very happy. for some odd reason, every time that happens , those are large gains in Demo, and closed at profit every time & During the Hour the Market is Closed.
I did mention, EST once. I'm in CST. so, maybe some mistype there on the break hour. but clearly the trades are closed during the break-time.
if it was closer to the 50/50 W/L on those trades, it would feel, more natural, they are good , correct trades. being closed.

and your saying, Holding at Full Margins, during the Market Break is underway. Trades can still be Closed, by the exchange or the Broker. ???

Lastly, as a short hand to all this above,
sometimes the devil, is in all that detail.

From the beginning of this,
claimed these are basically - look like "Legit" trades. closed, when the market is closed. ??
Not Strategy error Trades ??
Not Chart or Platform error Trades ??
Most importantly, is if those 3 things are True.
but i worry, that targets I show you , always end up out in Space, compared to Price. I just need to understand, why the Chart shows that way.

The Rest i think for me to understand, is Second to that.

hows this for a fair question then.

maybe retail traders can close a trade, during the market Break. we at least know we are not trading the break hour. hahahaha
of course there is no real trading going on during that hour.
So.
Who then , is moving the markets or those charts, enough. to basically trigger.
10 tick 20 tick even more Ticks. on the MNQ or MES
to hit some of those Targets Shown.
some of those moves have values of 200$usd , and that happens in a split second ?
I'm sorry , i don't understand how that is possible.

i'll be happy , if you can point me to some kind of insight or information over this....

evidently, there is something i need to learn about the futures market break and/or NT8 Platform .
I see no reference to this anywhere.

and yes, I did try a time filter on the strategy, it didn't seem to help, it did not stop those trades during the market closed hour..

From the image i am not able to tell you exactly how the strategy was running at that time, I was not monitoring the strategy as it ran so I wouldn't be able to tell you how it was working at that time. All I can tell from the image is that your profit target is being hit. If you didn't want that to happen you need to adjust your strategies settings for the target.

For your questions about the markets and how they work you can use external resources like investopedia or also contact your broker directly to go over those topics in relation to your specific account.

A time filter would only help to manage your entries, as mentioned in the image your target is filling which a time filter wont have any effect on. If you want the exit to work differently you would need to change your targets.

Hello Genesis2021,

If you are having problems with playback and fills you can try to redownload the data and re test the situation. You would also want to clear the cache by removing the folder: Documents\NinjaTrader 8\db\cache

After doing that I would suggest loading a normal chart and then run the strategy on that chart to check if any historical trades show up incorrectly and if not then try the playback again.

Hello, I had a similar situation happen to me today, I had a position to be closed at 0.7399 and it closed 10 minutes before market closing hour at 3:50 CT time, at the price of 0.7408.

I checked the price highs and lows, and the lowest it reached (i was on a short) was 0.7406 on the bid price, so it definitely wasn't the target nor the spread or slippage.

And for the position to be closed at that time, i must have been enforced by some market hours rule, which I checked and I have my orders on GTC, and NO Auto Close Position

As starting point I would suggest to contact your brokers orders desk to go over that fill, they will be able to provide any details in case that was closed by some rule or otherwise.
