    Modifying default appearance (colors) of chart indicators added by AddChartIndicator?

    I know I can manually change their color properties (and also thickness for visibility) on the chart once the strategy loads up but if I'm firing the same strategy off 50 times while developing I'd much rather avoid making that manual change 50 times if possible. Have not been able to find the answer in the Docs. Also saving their default appearances as I'd prefer them to look does not appear to affect how they look when added through AddChartIndicator.

    Also when doing replay even resetting the date resets all the colors and lines for the strategy. So then if you need to change colors and line weight on 3 indicators that 6 clicks, plus the clicks to get there, roughly another 6, plus the time spent changing everything and ranting about it on the forums...

    Shirley, there's a better way...

    Thanks!
    Mark

    Hello Mark,

    I've moved your thread to the Strategy Development section of the forums.

    You can set the brushes of the indicator plots.

    The help guide provides sample code.

    MyIndicator myIndy;

    myIndy = MyIndicator();
    myIndy.Plots[0].Brush = Brushes.Red;
