Can't Get Strategy to Run

In strategy builder, I built two strategies around engulfing bars that engulfed bars of the same kind. In other words, bearish engulfing of a bearish bar and bullish engulfing of a bullish bar. To do this, I set both the bullish and bearish candlestick indicators equal to a numeric value of 1 to indicate a "true" state, and then set the closing price 1 bar ago to either be lower or higher than the opening price 1 bar ago, and made sure that both conditions had to be met. I then set the bullish engulfing strategy to enter long and the bearish strategy to enter short with set stops and profit targets. I ran both strategies today on the 2000 tick chart of the ES, and although there were multiple instances of each, I never got an execution. I've gone over the setup of each multiple times and everything seems to be properly configured with both strategies enabled and in accounts with live data. I know I'm missing something somewhere, either in the configuration of the strategies themselves, or in the execution of them, but I just don't know what it is. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Bullish means bar with a higher high and lower low? Because unlike forex close of last bar is usually same as o[pen of next bar. So you might not find engulfing bodies in futures. Can you post a chart of the candlestick setup?

Bullish meaning a bar with a close higher than its open. The opposite for a bear bar.

Hello jhenson25,

If you had enabled the strategy and it was listed as green in the control center that would mean its working. If it did not place trades you would need to check your conditions to make sure those were true. You can use drawing objects or prints to check if a condition is becoming true.
