Adding AddDataSeries with MarketDataType.Ask in a Strategy

I would like to add Tick Ask/Bid Data series in a Strategy. The guide say this needs to be done ONLY during OnStateChange() State.Configure, and requires to add the Instrument Name.

Can I assume that the Instrument is already set and use the following code?

AddDataSeries(Instrument.FullName, Data.BarsPeriodType.Tick, 1, MarketDataType.Ask);

You can use null as the instrument name if you wanted to assume the primary instrument.
