Strategy Builder

Im wondering if there is a way when i make a Strategy using NT builder and i export it to the zip file i then import it to a different machine it will not allow me to edit it in NT builder anymore. Anyone know a work around?

Thank you for your post and welcome to the NinjaTrader forum community!

As long as you do not unlock the strategy, it may be exported as a Strategy Builder strategy and then also imported and accessed via the Strategy Builder in the installation it was imported to. Here are the steps:

• On the machine where the strategy was created in the Strategy Builder, go to Control Center > Tools > Export > NinjaScript Add-On
• Select the desired strategy and export
• Once successfully exported, you may import the .zip file at Control Center > Tools > Import > NinjaScript Add-On
• Select the .zip that was exported
• Once the import is successful, you may go to Control Center > New > Strategy Builder and select the imported strategy from the list
  • Alternatively, you may go to Control Center > New > NinjaScript Editor. Expand the Strategies folder and double-click on the desired strategy which should open it in the Strategy Builder if it is a strategy that is locked to the builder
