    Recalculate versus keep running

Hi, The help guide for ConnectionLossHandling is very limited in its explanation. Can you please explain the difference between recalculate and keep running in a bit more detail? especially if I were to have a position open with a stop loss and profit target, why would I use one versus the other?

Also if you don't specifically set this which is the default setting for a strategy?

    Hello sjmuk1,

Below is a link to the help guide.

With Recalculate, its as if the strategy was disabled, and then re-enabled. CurrentBar is reset to 0 and all of the historical data is reprocessed.

With Keep running, once the connection is restored, the strategy does not reprocess the historical data and will resume processing real-time, ignoring any data that may have been missed while the connection was lost.

If you want to reprocess any data that may have missed when the connection loss occurred, the Recalculate setting would be used. If you don't care about the data you can use Keep running.

The default setting for this is Recalculate.
