Variable stop
I'm trying to use Strategy Builder to build a strategy that after ever entry will enter a stop and limt based on the EMA in relation to the entry. I've got it coded to do the difference between the entry and EMA for a stop and limit, but I'd really like to do 1.5 times the stop amount. 1 times is leaving money on the table and 2 times is staying in trades too long. I don't have any opportunity for arithmetic when dealing with my inputs or variables, so I was curious if anyone with more knowledge than me might have some advice of how to use the builder to do a 1.5 or 1.25 mulitiplier on a variable. I appreciate it. Thanks.

Hello Rob,
Thanks for your post.
A limitation of the Strategy Builder is that you are only able to offset (+, -, x, /) a custom Series, not regular variables or inputs.
You may consider creating a custom series in the Additional Data screen of the Strategy Builder to use for your stop loss. A value could be assigned to the custom series that you would like to use for your stop loss. That custom series could then be used for your stop loss and offset (multiplied) by a set value.
Note that custom series could be found in the Misc folder when using it for a condition or action.
