    pips vs ticks

    I'm calculating the following

    double tickSize = BarsArray[0].Instrument.MasterInstrument.TickSize;
    double pointValue = BarsArray[0].Instrument.MasterInstrument.PointValue;
    double tickValue = tickSize * pointValue;

    does it matter if the instrument uses pips or ticks?

    Hello dibDab,

    The TickSize will be interchangeable with pip when using fractional notation instruments. It represents the smallest increment change of the price scale.
