Backtest data range chart

Hello, I´d like to use the historical data for US500 as example for 2021

I use a range chart backtest and it works only for 2022-2023

When I make 1 min period it works for 2021 and before.

But not with the range period anymore...

How can I fix this ?

That sounds about right.

If you need more historical tick data, you may have to
spend money.

NinjaTrader historical data servers provide 10+ years of
Minute data, but only about 1 year of past Tick data.
(Good reading here.)

Range charts are built from Tick data.

So, it would seem you need more historical Tick data.

You will have to investigate 3rd party products that
provide historical tick data.

bltdavid is correct. Range bars are built from Tick data and up to 1 year of historical Tick data is available from the NinjaTrader historical data servers. This would require purchasing the historical tick data you need from a third-party provider.

NinjaTrader's historical data servers provide the following amount of historical data:

Tick data: up to 1 year of historical data would be available. However, some instruments may go back further.

Minute data: virtually never deleted, goes back to 2006 (Forex goes back to late 2008).

Daily data: virtually never deleted, goes back to 2009. Forex data varies per instrument. Index data goes back to 2011.
