Strategy Analyzer - Data Series - Missing Years

Hello, I have a simple problem but im not sure of how to solve it. When running an optimization. I select the instrument (MES 03-23) and then I select the Start/End date (2010-2022). I run the optimization but I only get data from 2019 to 2022, how can I solve this? do I need to manually download the rest of the data? if so, how?

Hi Joaqvil, thanks for posting. You likely are not able to get the data going all the way back to 2010. You would need to download the data from a third-party source and then import it into the platform. The data you download must be in the correct format listed here:

This page also details formatting from Tick Data LLC. There are many historical data providers on the internet, you will need to Google search them and research which one to use.

But suppose I want to get data since 2017, that I can do from ninja trader? or better said, how far back can I go getting the data from ninja?

Hi, It depends on the type of data you are requesting and the data provider you are using. For NinjaTrader Continuum, tick data can be pulled up to 180 days back (this includes bars like Tick, Renko, Second). Minute data should go back much further (2007).
