Strategy is highlighted yellow instead of green

Hi There,
I wanted to run my strategy on my sim account during live trading. After assigning the strategy to my chart it appeared yellow in the strategies tab of the control center. It worked just yesterday and was green. What can I do?

It means hypothetically it's in a position.

You can do 1 of 2 things :

Wait until it exits that hypothetically position and it will turn green.
Disable the strategy and change the start behavior to Immediately Submit, Sync Account which will submit a market order and the strategy will then use that position, will turn green as well.

JakeOfSpades is correct; it sounds like there is potentially an open strategy position at the point when the strategy was enabled, and the strategy is waiting for that historical position to become flat before becoming in sync and placing trades to your live account. If the strategy name is in green, that means the strategy is currently running. If the name is orange/yellow that means the strategy is waiting until its position is flat to sync up with the live account position and start running fully:

You could change your Start Behavior depending on what you would like your strategy to do in regard to the strategy position and the account position when the strategy is enabled. There is a description of each behavior here:

How long does it usually take for the strategy to reconcile with the virtual order so it will turn back green? I've tried changing the start method to 'immediate submit' but when I do, an order is submitted against my strategy and if I close it manually it still shows yellow when I go back to 'wait until flat'.

Thank you for your note.

There is no "usual" time that it takes for the strategy name to be green; it will wait until the strategy position is flat for it to become in sync and change to green. How long this takes depends on the strategy's logic and when it would become flat again based on strategy conditions and the market's behavior.
