Strategy Builder current market position flat issue

    Hi.

I notice something when enabling strategies using for example Position.MarketPosition = MarketPosition.Flat

The issue is that it looks at the strategy historical position vs the actual real account position when enabled.

I would like it, upon enabling the strategy, to look at the real account position.

How can I make it evaluate the actual account position being flat and not only the strategy historical position?

    Thanks folks.

    Hello birdog,

    Thanks for your post.

Position.MarketPosition will detect what the strategy position of a strategy is.

To detect the actual account position in a strategy, you could use PositionAccount.MarketPosition.

See this help guide page for more information about PositionAccount.MarketPosition: https://ninjatrader.com/support/help...etposition.htm

Please let me know if I may assist you further.

        Hello birdog,

        Thanks for your note.

PositionAccount.MarketPosition is not an available option in the Strategy Builder.

To use PositionAccount.MarketPosition in a strategy, you would need to unlock the script from the Strategy Builder using the 'Unlock code' button and manually program the logic into your script.

Please let me know if I may further assist.

brandonhall Ok. Noted. Is there any way you could ask the devs to consider allowing this in the Strategy Builder natively?
