Looking back with CurrentDayOHL()?

Hi there, can you suggest an approach to use CurrentDayOHL() to find the High/Low of the prior trading day, two trading days ago, or X trading days ago?

Hello timmbbo,

For the Prior trading day you can use the PriorDayOHLC indicator.

If you wanted to find the value of either the CurrentDayOHL or PriorDayOHLC for X days ago you would need to know how many BarsAgo X sessions ago was. Both indicators plot for the entire session so accessing [X] bars ago gets you the value of the plot sometime during a session. You can know how many BarsAgo 1 session was by adding 1 to the BarsSinceNewTradingDay. Beyond that it would get difficult to know how many BarsAgo a session was without making logic to find sessions and count BarsAgo.

If you are just looking for daily bar info for X days ago you can alternatively use GetDayBar:

if(Bars.GetDayBar(2) != null)
    Print("The prior trading day's close is: " + Bars.GetDayBar(2).Close);
