How to test with Tick Data in Strategy Analyzer further than 1 year in the past?

Hello,

I would like to know how I may test my strategy in the strategy analyzer using tick data using periods before one year ago? Currently I am testing on the NQ. I would like to test all of 2021, however, the strategy analyzer only tests from Nov/16/2021 to current time.

Hi Don, thanks for posting. Most data providers will give tick data up to 180 days maximum, some throttle this down to 8 days during market hours. It's also possible that the platform is pulling from cached tick data back to November of last year. You will need to acquire the tick data and import it into the platform through Tools>Import>Historical Data. A Google search for "Tick Data" will provide some reliable results for third party tick data providers.
