namespace NinjaTrader.Custom.AddOns does not exist

Hi,
The namespace AddOns does not exist that leads to an error of "InitializeComponent does not exists" in an xaml file (this file is in AddOns folder). Could you please advice how to fix it?

Can you send a screenshot of what you are seeing?

• To send a screenshot with Windows 10 or newer I would recommend using the Windows Snipping Tool.
  • Click here for instructions
• Alternatively to send a screenshot press Alt + PRINT SCREEN to take a screenshot of the selected window. Then go to Start--> Accessories--> Paint, and press CTRL + V to paste the image. Lastly, save it as a jpeg file and send the file as an attachment.

Additionally, what version of NinjaTrader 8 are you using? The full version number may be found at Control Center > Help > About.

If you are looking to use a xaml file with your AddOn, please follow the samples shown at the following links:

  • Click on "Download AddOn Framework NinjaScript Basic file to your desktop" to download the reference sample

  • Download the "AddonShell_NT8" example

As noted in our help guide, "The process of pairing a XAML file with your C# classes is straightforward; simply create your XAML class in its own file within your project, and it can be packaged together with your C# code in a DLL." I suggest using one of the samples provided and then making a copy of the xaml file for any new AddOns you wish to develop; that way the file will have the default NinjaTrader namespaces already when copied and then you can modify it for your needs in the new AddOn.
