price getting far away from vwap

Stupid question buuuuutt:

How can i filter in builder for when price gets extremely far away from equilibrium (something like vwap)?
I'm trying to do my normal

Close > (EMA(51)[0] + (-500*ticksize)

on the long side but its not working... -500 ticks should be too far away but its not filtering it out. thanks

Hello ezrollin,

By filtering it out what do you mean, do you intend for the condition to be false for that price?

The Close and EMA price will be similar so checking ema minus 500 ticks should allow that condition to be true a lot. The close will generally be a higher price than the EMA minus 500 ticks.
