2 different NT8 instances, same version, yield different Strategy results.

Hi,

I have an NT8 version that I'm leasing on a quarterly basis: it's my personal copy. When I open the Data window on a chart, it has a checkbox for 'Tick Replay'. (NT Continuum data)
I have another NT8 version through a firm where I'm working to become a prop trader. Same NT8 version. When I open the Data Window: I don't see a 'Tick Replay' checkbox. (Rhythmic data)

Why is this difference? Should I check this box or not? Does that make a difference in the Strategy results on the two versions? what sort of a difference can it make?

I'm testing again, but in my previous test, the same strategy yielded different results in the two versions. Curious why. Thanks!

You need to enable the tick replay feature in the options menu first.

Check the show tick replay option.

I can't tell you if your strategy needs tick replay or not, that depends on what you programmed. I can say that tick replay does not help with fill accuracy, it is for the ability to have OnMarketData called historically. If you are using it to try and place more granular trades or improve fill accuracy it won't help, it will only slow down load times by doing that.
