    Hello Good People,

Is it possible to use Drawing Objects in Strategy Builder Wizard?
    Thank you.

    Hello ScottW,

    Thank you for your post.

Yes, it is definitely possible to use Drawing Objects in the Strategy Builder. We have more detailed information with an example in the help guide section here:

For more information about setting up conditions in the Strategy Builder that would trigger the action of drawing an object, please see the example conditions here:

Additionally, we have a Strategy Builder webinar video on our YouTube channel that demonstrates the different options available when setting up conditions and actions. The video may be found at the following link:

Please let us know if we may be of further assistance.

Hi Emily, I would include a regression channel into my strategy builder, but I see that the option "segment" is not avaliable for drawing.. how can I fix it ? thanks in advance

          Hello,

The Regression Channel object is available in the Strategy Builder. It allows you to select a start bars ago value and an end bars ago value as follows:
World's leading screen capture + recorder from Snagit + Screencast by Techsmith. Capture, edit and share professional-quality content seamlessly.

This is the same as when you manually draw a regression channel and you choose the start and end point for the center line of the channel. I am not aware of a "segment" drawing object that would be used.

Please let me know if I may be of further assistance.

Yes, I saw that this option is not implemented within the strategy builder environment, but if you go to the graph draw tool, draw a regression channel, go to properties, there is the option in the menu for the mode: or standard deviation distance or segment. I am interested in being able to trace the regression channel (with segment mode),and do this within the strategy builder... but this is currently not possible. Is there a possibility to modify the code? thanks

              Thank you for that information.

I now understand what you are referring to. This is a limitation of the Strategy Builder. In an unlocked NinjaScript, you could use a method overload for Draw.RegressionChannel() that allows you to select a template name that has the Mode set to Segment:

You could consider creating a copy of your Strategy Builder script from the Welcome screen and unlocking that copy for editing as a test to practice changing the Draw.RegressionChannel() method in the NinjaScript Editor. It is extremely important to understand that once a script is unlocked, you may no longer edit it in the Strategy Builder - this is why my suggestion is to make a copy. You would still have the original that you can work on in the Strategy Builder and then you could unlock a copy any time you would like to test a manual edit in the NinjaScript Editor to do something like apply a template to the Regression Channel.

Please let us know if we may be of further assistance.
