C# Language Version

I'm using NinjaTrader 8 and coding a fair amount in both the script editor and in Visual Studio. I noticed the LangVersion is set surprising low. I updated the NinjaTrader.Custom.csproj file to use LangVersion 7.3 and Visual Studio is fine with that, i.e. it compiles, but the NinjaScript editor does not and is still expecting an older version. Is there a way to upgrade the language version? It would add a lot of wonderful syntactic sugar that makes programming quicker and easier.

NinjaTrader targets .NET 4.8 using C# 5.0.
