    Rithmic friendly trailing stop loss

I have tested two variations of trailing stop losses with rithmic and neither of them worked. both of the stop losses work on sim but now with rithmic. Here is how I calculated the trailing stop losses:

    1. Storing the highest price since entry execution in a double value. Then in the unmanaged order submission subtracting the desired trail stop value in ticks from the highest price.

    2. If I want a 5 point trail stop and my target to begin the trail stop is 15 points, I have created a int value that increases every tick (tickCount++) and the stop loss limit will increase a tick with it. Then I add 10 points (15-5) to the average price that will increase every tick.

I would appreciate help from anyone who has dealt with rithmic and have successfully created a stop loss or have any idea how else I should approach it.

    Thank you,

    John

    Hello John,

Set the price the next trail event will occur at. Update the price of the stop when the current price is above that saved trail event price.

Below is a link to an example that demonstrates.
