    Importing strategy error

I have a strategy that was specifically built for NT8. But when I try to import it tells me it is for an older version of NT. Is there a way to resolve this issue?

    Hello JTizz,

That could mean that the strategy was exported from a much older version or that the zip file was invalid. You can manually import the file, you need to extract the zip.

Inside the zip there should be folders and files for what you are trying to import. You don't need the info.xml or AdditionalReferences.txt files. You would need any other files in the zip, those can be places in the appropriate folders: documents/NinjaTrader 8/bin/Custom/
After doing this you can use the NinjaScript editor to compile and check for errors.

          Hello JTizz,

From the images it looks like zip that has strategies and indicators, the files would need unzipped to the documents/NinjaTrader 8/bin/Custom folders..

You can view the existing folders to see how indicators are imported into th folder. The items in the zip would be in the same situation.

              Hello JTizz,

That would indicate that the file is not complete, some code is missing.

The error specifically mentions that you need to add one more } at the end of the file, if hat is no the solution then the file is not complete or is no correct.

                    Hello JTizz,

If you are manually adding files you need to also use the NinjaScript editor to compile and check for errors. If the file could not be imported there is a good chance that you will get errors when manually importing it as well.
