    Chart with Strategy applied Locking up Since downloaded RSEMA indicator

    When this happens other charts continue to work but access to the chart with the strategy and the Control Center are not functioning (I will have to End Task in Task Manager to close Ninja Trader

    The first 2 times this happen was in Play Back Connection Mode a few days ago, NOW has happen with live data (currently running lastest version of the NT8)

    The common thing about this chart that is different from a few days ago is that I downloaded the recently user app shared RSEMA NT8

    The Lock ups occurred when a strategy placed directly on the chart was enable (the Strategy does NOT have to have the Indicator RSEMA as part of the strategy)

    Anyone Else have any issues since downloading RSEMA

    Thank you for your post.

    While I can't say whether or not that particular indicator would be the cause of your issues, installation of custom/3rd party scripts can have impacts on the functionality of the platform. I'd take a look at this section of our help guide here:



    I would suggest testing in Safe Mode to see if the issue is something to do with a custom script or if there may be an issue with the installation itself.

    Safe Mode will prevent NinjaTrader from:
    • Loading workspaces.
    • Connecting on start-up.
    • Loading custom assemblies.
    • Getting instrument updates from the server.
    To enable safe mode, please use the following steps:
    • Exit NinjaTrader.
    • Hold the CONTROL key and double click the NinjaTrader icon.
    • Keep the CONTROL key held down until you see the Control Center.
    • You can verify you are in safe mode by going to Help -> About.
    Once in safe mode, you will only see the Control Center. Please manually connect to your data feed and try to open a chart. Do you receive data on this chart? If you open a Time and Sales window next to it, do the prices change at the same time? Do you see the freezing behavior occur?

    If not, I would suggest starting by removing that most recently installed indicator.

      Update, This appears to NOT be related to the RSEMA indicator and more of an ongoing issue of Strategies when applied to the chart itself. Here is a link to a discussion that is covering the subject of Locks etc
