Entry execution outside the scope of OnBarUpdate()

    Hello,

In a strategy, must I always place entry execution within the scope of OnBarUpdate()

I created an execution logic outside the scope of OnBarUpdate, ran some tests, then tested the same execution logic inside the scope of OnBarUpdate, and the results were the same.

    Hello AdeptistJune,

No, you can call order methods pretty much anywhere in any method when State is State.Historical or State.Realtime. I would advise against submitting orders from OnRender().

It would depend on what your logic is, and what event is triggering your method, on whether the results would change.
