Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

Hello,

When I added the strategy to a chart, I instantly saw an error popup that says: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

What does that mean, and what can I do to fix it?

Hello AdeptistJune,

This is a C# error that means an object that you had used was null. You would have to go through the code you have to locate what object that may be or what part contributes to the error.

The error should also contain the region of code, for example OnBarUpdate or OnStateChange to narrow down the area. You may need to look in the control center Log tab if the popup does not contain details.
